Embrace Costa Rica 2017

Thank you for praying for my recent mission trip to Costa Rica this past April. Everywhere I went, I was welcomed with love, encouragement, kindness and generosity. I was very encouraged by the expansion of our ministry. God has greatly blessed the hard work, love and prayer of our devoted country leader, Xinia Quesada and her leaders. We now have a prayer support team and two leadership teams of women committed of fulfilling Revive and Restore Ministries mission in Costa Rica.

Xinia and I had the privilege of meeting with both leadership teams. During our time with both groups, we worshipped, prayed and discussed team building and unity. We also consecrated the women with anointing of oil, prayer and blessing commissioning them to serve in our ministry. The leadership team from Quesada includes: Xinia, Katarina, Deisy and Marcela. They just completed leading a group of women from Grecia through our Renovada Study. Four new groups from new locations have expressed a desire to participate in Renovada.

The leadership team from Alajela includes: Xinia, Isabella, Susanna and Rocita. They are currently planning their first Renovada Study with a group of 15+ women.

Xinia and I also had the privilege of speaking at two churches, one in Alajuela and the other in Florencia, presenting the message of “The Garden of the Secret Place.” We were amazed as we watched the Holy Spirit touch hearts releasing his love, power, healing and restoration. We have already heard many testimonies of emotional and physical healing. We anticipate hearing more in the coming weeks and hope to translate them into English to share with you.

During my stay, I was blessed to visit with many of my friends and new friendships were formed. There was not enough time to see everyone we wanted to see. Even though our time was limited, Xinia and I were able to accomplish a lot together. We spent one full day going through our altar ministry manual. After an upcoming edit, she will use material to train her leaders. We discussed different ways to raise money. We prayed and planned for future ministry. We are praying about organizing a leadership retreat this coming November.

Please continue to pray for Xinia, our leadership teams and the continued work God will do in the lives of women that we are blessed to reach out to in Costa Rica. Until next time….
