Testimonies from the 2015 Embrace Costa Rica Mission Trip
"Hi! My name is Evelyn. I am 30 years old. Since I was 9 years old, I have been living in darkness (homeless, drugs, sexual abuse, 10 death attempt and suicidal). Ten days ago, I came to the Rehab center because of an angel that rescued me from the streets when I was about to end up my life.
Because of my life style, I lost my greatest loves, my two daughters Amber 14 years and Kelly 12 years. Not having them in my life has been the greatest reason to hate myself because of all the guilt and pain that I have carried. I have been a slave in these prisons.
BUT TODAY, because of the message given throughout this conference, I have understood that HE really LOVES ME. He wants me to be His bride (that was my new name), and He wants me willing to be His witnesses to help other as you are helping us. I understand now that the Holy Spirit is changing and guiding me to understand that I have a purpose in life and to be used as His instrument.
I want you to know that I have found my sweet love, Jesus and more that my love, He is now my sweet peace. I look at myself in the mirror and I do not see the same Evelyn than before. I am being transformed!!!! I do not feel alone and helpless anymore.
Please do not stop doing what you are doing because you are changing lives through the love of God. Please keep me in your prayers. You all inspired me. I love you my friends! THANK YOU!!!!"
